Enabling Optimized Isolation
The Iso-Flowcheck tool is a straddle packer tool that utilizes upper and lower packer elements to isolate intervals, and selectively swab or flow the wellbore back to surface. During operation, the packer elements are set independently to ensure 100% zonal isolation and enable optimized isolation while allowing flow to surface.
Cup isolation technologies risk damage while tripping within scale and debris laden wellbores. In contrast, the Iso-Flowcheck packer elements, when unset, have no contact with the casing, thereby prolonging the life of the tool and mitigating wear. Operators can deliver several treatments (50+) in a single run without having to trip to surface to replace damaged cups. There is no need to make multiple trips in and out of hole, preventing non-productive time.
On a single assembly, the Iso-Flowcheck tool combined with the industry proven Sandhawk bottomhole assembly enables operators to locate, open and close Kobold’s Sandport sleeves to perform pressure tests and isolates anywhere in the casing string. The Iso-Flowcheck tool is also fully compatible with perforated casing, milled out ball drop completions, and competitors’ coiled-tubing shifted sleeves.
